NBL Heritage Round Jerseys

NBL Heritage Round Jerseys

With the NBL Heritage Round starting tonight with Melbourne traveling to Adelaide, it’s always enjoyable to see the old school uniforms that each team produces to honour their past.

This year has a theme, with each club choosing a design that throws back to the 1990s and a special occasion in the team’s history.  Here is each team’s uniform for the upcoming round:

Adelaide 36ers

“1995 was our first year wearing blue, and Mark Davis made the all-star squad. Robert Rose was still a 36er’ making the All NBL First Team and we finished with a record of 19-12. It was era change that would eventually lead our club to multiple championships and so much success!”

Brisbane Bullets

Young_Bruce_Jervis-252x300“The vintage blue kit draws design inspiration from both the 1990 championship final jersey and 1987 championship jerseys worn by local legends including Leroy Loggins and Larry Sengstock.”

Cairns Taipans

The Taipans have not announced their Heritage Round uniform yet.

Illawarra Hawks

Melbourne United

e87ff883f9ac072c90772ef22fd1b96b“They were the first Victorian club to win a Championship in the 90’s (1992) and this season celebrate the 20th anniversary of their second Championship (1996).

The South East Melbourne Magic are set to return to Melbourne this Saturday night for NBL Heritage Round.”

New Zealand Breakers

Perth Wildcats

15977245_10154924043954314_4812266865099284142_n“A nod to the jersey made famous by the 1995 championship this team, the uniform is influenced by the stars of that era, while recognising the club’s tenth year wearing red as it’s predominant colour.”

Sydney Kings

external“The Sydney Kings who do not have a home game in Round 15 showcased their jerseys from 1992 last weekend at Qudos Bank Arena and will wear the uniforms again this weekend against New Zealand in Auckland.”
